|   | Daylight Losing Time |
|
3:44 am, 27th
One hour later, windows again notified me that it was adjusting the clock to compensate for daylight savings time. "That's odd." I thought. "I wonder how many times it's going to remind me of this." Then I looked at the taskbar clock. 1:00 am. I looked at my watch. 3:00 am. This is either a weird fluke, or there is a infrequently encountered bug in Win 95. I didn't stick around to see if it would set the clock back another hour as 2 am came for the third time that morning, so I don't know if it could have been 1:-something am forever. This open minded approach to timekeeping may be one factor that causes Microsoft employees to work unusually long hours. "Dang! Still 1 am! I barely worked 35 hours of overtime this week." | |
|   | Mood Shuffle |
|
Right now, I just like everything. Something has definately fucked with my mood. I'd be annoyed, but I just can't right now. I would be annoyed that I am affected by the byproducts of my friends' stupid habits, too. Friends may be the people that you don't hate for their flaws, but since when is it okay to constantly damage your friends' health without asking? Le'a says it's okay for your friends to get pissed about the things you do. Okay. You smoke, I get annoyed. I complain, you get pissed. It's so equal, it could almost be described as "fair". No, I don't care that much about their health. I don't pay attention to what they eat, do I? Everyone should be free
to fuck themselves up. However, if you want to cover me in a layer of soot, make my clothes and house smell funny, and
pollute the communal air, I may begin to inflict my opinions on you. That's just the way I am.
It's unfortunate that some people I respect happen to smoke. After being prodded by Alan, I finally released my door spider. I let it go outside, near a web supporting a spider of a similiar but larger species. As I carried it out the door, it became very active, scuttling around in the cold air. I better not find another big web across my doorway tomorrow. |
